What brought you to CU Denver, and specifically the College of Arts and Media?
I chose CU Denver for the Design program. It’s intense course and location,the city, really attracted to me. To receive this quality education, it was either go to a school on the East or West Coast, or go to a private school. CU Denver had the diversity I thought was key to education.
Why did you want to become part of the CAM Ambassadors group? What do you think it will do for you and the school?
I wanted to be a CAM Ambassador to take learning outside of the classroom. After doing so many different projects on campus and in Denver, I felt that as the world turns global, that to be a designer I would have to travel. I also am so thankful for the peers I have, and would love to facilitate information back to them.
What is your favorite part of being in the CAM program?
Creative freedom, and community support.
What is your favorite location to go to in Denver?
Sam’s Number 3 because any breakfast place has my heart.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
I enjoy hiking, and binge watching social documentaries.
What concentration do you find yourself leaning towards the most? Why? When did you get started?
I lean toward design the most because it satisfies my creative art side but as well as my interests in culture and business.
What helps you get inspired?
Do you have any rituals to get yourself motivated when you work?
I usually pull up a recent movie I saw in theaters and have it play in the background. Just listening and watching the details of film to apply to design. When that runs out, I enjoy walks through the city or a mountain trail to clear my mind.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
I had some very influential mentors in my life, and they have inspired me to create and be someone who inspires others.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done for your art? Do you regret it?
For a project, I took a whole class on aquaponics class at the Growhaus, it was one of the most enjoyable research phases of a project have ever done.

If it is crafted in a way to be experienced.
Where is the best place to see art, in your opinion?
In your pocket. On your phone.
Who is your favorite non-mainstream artist and why?
Francisco Goya, the painter and Chip Kidd,the designer.
What is your favorite movie/film that you’ve ever seen?
“It’s Kind of a Funny Story.” It is not the best movie I have ever seen, but it came at a point of my life and was very influential in deciding that art could be a career and a hobby.
If you had to create a new crayon, what color and name would it be and why?
I would name it Pantone, and it would be able to change colors to any of the Pantone color swatches.
